Man Oh Man Oh Man

Sensory overload this time. So many details.

Highlights would have to be:

Getting caught in a TORNADO! I was there with my family and for some reason Marla was there, too. She was sitting next to me and I was holding onto her as this giant tornado, in the woods, came spiraling towards us. We spun around in so many directions and crashed on the ground. It was wild. Everyone was all right, but we had to ditch the car and travel on foot. This scared me because there were these evil mutants {X-men kind of mutants} who were after us.

Before that happened

I had stretched this one mutant’s head inside this building, through the hallways and snapped it back between these two doors. And for some reason I was Shadow Cat. Yeah he might’ve been pissed.

Before that happened

I remember looking for my laptop. I found it upside down, in the sink, all soapy. My niece had put it in there and I was furious. In reality she would never do that because she knows it’s her source for Barbie.com. But man did it feel like a nightmare.

Man oh man too many things happened.

places

I was in my cousin’s house in Rowland Heights holding at least ten balloons. With these balloons I could be lifted off the ground almost to the point of flying. It was pretty exhilarating.

Then I was in a desert scene and I could see abandoned, broken down buildings in the distance. But I knew there was danger ahead. It felt kind of post apocalyptic in the air. Then a group of people and I

went running out to the buildings and were then ambushed by other people. I don’t remember making it to the buildings.

And then I was in this forest swamp place. My cousins were there. I thinkwe were camping. I was trying to find this place where I used to go swimming because there was something I needed to find there.

The last place I remember being was at these thrift stores and there were sales going on or something; it was madness. I remember now it was New Year’s Eve but for some reason people were dressed up in costumes like it was Halloween. I was trying to get a costume together at the thrift store. I worked there so I could get stuff for free. What I picked out made me look like a sailor/pinup/Victorian dame. It was an interesting costume.

And then I saw a girl I hadn’t seen in a while and wanted to find her house but her street was missing.

So strange…

“Even though it’s so beautiful, you have to leave an island sometime”

Throughout the dream I could hear Natalie Portman say this. It was like a chant that would resonate throughout my mind and all around this vast land of the island. On one side of the island was an infinite desert and that’s where Natalie and these explorers came from. On the other side was an infinite ocean. Natalie was pregnant and had short hair and I remember there was a scientist and his assistants. We were trying to find our way off, but we never did…

broken blue banana

I was running late for something. Later on I learned I was running late for a deadline for some class I was in. It wasn’t an art class but the thing I had to do was a bit artsy.

I wanted to grab something to eat before I did that so I started walking towards…somewhere. But then I ran into my roommate and this girl takes my laptop and starts looking through it. Then when we get to this lawn she just places it on the ground and for some reason the grass covers my laptop. I started yelling at her that someone could have stepped on it and she was stupid and things like that.

Then I was at this place called Wormies. It was somewhat of a theme park, although I didn’t get to see the attractions. I was in this restaurant/cafeteria part of the place trying to find “an inanimate object and bring it to life.” That’s what the assignment was. In the cafeteria I found a blue banana. This lady working there wanted to stop me from taking it, but I explained it to her that I needed it and she let me go. I was going to make it a blue {sad} banana, and after I accidentally ripped it open, I decided

I would tape it together and call it a blue and broken banana.

After that I was walking around what felt like Downtown Disney {but of course was “Downtown” Wormies}, and I kept seeing this couple. I could see the girl’s face and knew who she was, but I wanted to see the guys face. They were standing in front of this shop that had porcelain and glass figures and I walked into the shop and looked out the window to see his face.

I was disappointed. He wasn’t as attractive as I thought and of course after seeing his face the mystery was gone. I heard them say “A blue banana? Why didn’t we think of that?” I guess we were taking the same course and were looking around for something to animate. Then we started talking and they were describing to me this teacher we had in high school named Mr. Cruz. The teacher I was actually visualizing was named Mr. Espinoza.

Anyways, the girl went somewhere to get something and it was just me and the guy. It was really windy and he told me he thought I was pretty. And I did look rather pretty in my dream, with this cute spring dress that would catch the wind, but never go up too high.

And then a few of my actual friends came out with some cameras and took pictures of me as I did a back flip. They were really nice cameras…

I remember there was a peacock, in a very small room, in a very high apartment complex. There was water below, like a seaport. I wanted to free the peacock by throwing it out the window because it could actually fly, but I knew it was weak and couldn’t stand the danger below. There were many evil creatures dwelling below in the water and some were flying creatures but stayed low to the water, too. Most of them were different types of dragons and submarines. I don’t know who they belonged to, but they made sure everyone was in the city because apparently the ocean was the only way out. I could see them from above and I could smell the air of the sea. I was also hyperventilating, and was breathing into this weird tube.

In the end:

There was this sea horse creature with what felt like an octopus tentacle as a tail. It was dying and I had to save it. It had swallowed a load of sand and it was whimpering and getting fainter. I turned it upside down and dumped all the sand out of it. I had to wait and pray for it to live. I was so sad. There were a lot of people and other animals around us waiting, too. Then it recovered and all was right in the world again.

All the while the song Animals by Cocorosie was playing in my mind.

And on the tracks I would go they lead to the sea

Emily dreams of dead Japanese generals.

One has a samurai mask and a great white mane.

The other is seems to be from WWII. he is always following the other.

They show up as ghosts in the window at night. They disappear by the time she gets there.

All they do is look out the window, one with the exaggerated face and the other with an emotionless one.

And they walk around the room, waiting for something.

All the while there is a bloodhound after her.
